David Hill is a New Zealand author. He was born on 1942 in Napier and he is now living in New Plymouth. He is well known for his young adult fiction. Some of his books are called See Ya Simon, Right Where it hurts, Sacred dust, tom Wood, Just looking thanks-( The book we are reading) and heaps more. His books are mostly chapter books and his favourite picture book authors are Joy Cowley, Maurice Gee and Margaret Mahy. David Hill studied in Victoria university in Wellington and graduated in 1964. In 2005 he won the Margaret Mahy award and in 2013 his book 'My Brother's' War won the junior fiction award at the New Zealand post children's book awards. In his spare time he enjoys reading,astronomy, tramping and supporting the All Blacks.
